Wadi El Hitan
The Valley of the Whales is a World Heritage Site. Its name, meaning ‘Valley of the Whales’, comes from the amazing whale fossils that can be found here. In Egypt’s western desert, Wadi El Hitan, there are important fossils of the oldest whales that are no longer alive. These fossils show one of the most important parts of evolution: how the whale changed from being a land animal to an ocean animal.
Desert Safari
You will take a 4×4 to the dunes and drive up and down. The next most exciting thing is sand boarding. You can do this by strapping the board to your feet and sliding quickly over the edge of the dunes. Then take a camel ride to relax and enjoy the desert. Hold on to the camel and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the wild desert. It looks like an angel painting.
Lunch
Before continuing, we will take a break to eat and recharge. Lunch will be in a restaurant, and Egyptian food options are generally offered, including meat dishes, rice, and salads (drinks are not included).
Kranis in Fayoum
The village of Kranis is located in the northern part of the Fayoum Oasis. The modern name of the place is Kom Auhim, and it is easily accessible on the highway leading to Fayoum from Cairo. 60 km from the Pyramids of Giza, you see the remains of ancient Kranes on your left-hand side, like many other villages in Fayoum.
After these fruitful visits, we will return you to your accommodation in Cairo to relax and spend a peaceful night.
