After enjoying a delicious breakfast at your accommodation, your exciting day tour begins. You will meet your private Egyptologist guide and travel in a comfortable private A/C vehicle to explore the following historic sites:
Giza Pyramids
The Great Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, are the most iconic monuments of ancient Egypt. The plateau is home to the three main pyramids: Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, along with several smaller pyramids built for the queens. These monumental structures continue to impress visitors with their size, precision, and history.
The Great Sphinx of Giza
The Great Sphinx is the largest sculpture from ancient Egypt. Carved directly from the limestone of the Giza Plateau, it features the body of a lion and the head of a human wearing the royal headdress. Over the centuries, the Sphinx has lost its chin and much of its original reddish color, yet it remains one of Egypt’s most enduring symbols.
Lunch
We will stop for a traditional Egyptian lunch at a local restaurant. Enjoy dishes such as grilled meats, rice, and fresh salads to recharge for the afternoon. (Drinks are not included.)
Saqqara
The Saqqara necropolis is home to another group of pyramids and historic monuments. Here you will find the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the oldest pyramid in the world, along with other fascinating tombs and ancient structures that reflect Egypt’s early dynastic history.
Memphis
Your tour continues to Memphis, the capital of ancient Egypt from 3100 to 2040 BC, founded by Narmer, the first Pharaoh. Explore its archaeological treasures, including the massive statue of Ramesses II and other remarkable monuments that highlight the grandeur of early Egyptian civilization.
After this enriching day of exploration, we will transfer you back to your accommodation for a relaxing and peaceful evening.
