The plateau is home to the three main pyramids: Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, along with smaller pyramids built for the queens. These ancient monuments continue to amaze visitors with their grandeur and historical significance.
The Great Sphinx of Giza
See the Great Sphinx, the largest sculpture from ancient Egypt. Carved from the limestone of the Giza Plateau, it features the body of a lion and the head of a human wearing a royal headdress. Over the centuries, the Sphinx has lost its chin and much of its original reddish color, yet it remains a powerful symbol of Egypt’s heritage.

Highlights include the complete treasures of Tutankhamun, displayed together for the first time, featuring gold jewelry, chariots, ceremonial objects, and personal belongings. Other galleries showcase statues, sarcophagi, and artifacts that reveal the daily life, beliefs, and art of ancient Egyptians.
Khan el-Khalili Bazaar
